Mr. Brandon Rhodes
Interim principal/social studies teacher
My name is Mr. Rhodes and I am excited to be the Social Studies Teacher at Cascade Career Prep High School. I have been teaching for 7 years starting at a charter school in Canton, Ohio. In the classroom I have a passion to talk about Current Events and US History with students especially in a discussion setting. In my personal life I have a passion to spend time fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with my beautiful wife and two daughters.
Ms. Aimee Wheeler - Mathematics teacher
I am Ms. Wheeler, the mathematics teacher. My education obtained is a bachelors degree in integrated mathematics, minor in psychology, and a Career Based Intervention endorsement. I have been with Cascade Since February of 2016. I became a teacher to make a positive influence on teenagers going through similar situations that I have experienced. I feel I am succeeding at my passion of supporting my students as well as sharing my love for math. Outside of work I enjoy fishing, video games, church activities, volleyball, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, and painting. I am a coffee fanatic and animal lover ! I look forward to working with you and having you be part of our cascade family
Dr. Mark smyers - Science Teacher
I have had many unique jobexperiences including rearranging museum fossil drawers, catching leeches by walking into aMexican mountain lake, being security to a Russian poet giving a speech in Las Vegas, parkmaintenance, being the driver for scientists on expeditions, selling toys at a local retail, movingpeople from one side of the country to the other, dish washer, sanding and painting the decks ofNavy ships, transplanting the brains from ladybug beetles. I credit these to having my highschool diploma and the many choices to my life’s path that it gives. I love doing scientificresearch in both the laboratory and in the field and have tried to make science interesting and funto all levels of students from kindergarten to graduate and adults for the past 26 years. On theside, I volunteer a lot of my time with my teammate Kivrin, a therapy Shiba Inu that visitsCascade Career Prep High School to provide therapy as well visiting nursing homes, seniorday care, libraries, airports, colleges, and even the Cuyahoga Valley National Park for their PawPatrol. For fun, I like to ride buses to see where the routes end, enjoy kangaroo steaks, and if it israining, you may find me dancing in the rain.
Mr. David Parry
English Language Arts Teacher
My name is David S. Parry and I am the new ELA teacher at cascade career prep high school. I have a BA degree in mass media communication and an MS degree in Education. Both degrees are from the university of akron. I have been a Substitue teacher for grades K-12 and a college instructor at the university of akron. I have also been an academic advisor at the university of akron and kent state university. I enjoy playing basketball, golf and tennis as well as walking in my spare time. staying active is very important to me. My wife maureen and my two children live in tallmadge and enjoy various activities and helping out in the community. i am very happy to be a part of the cascade career prep family!
Mrs. Cathy Branch-Intervention specialist
This is my 3rd year teaching at Cascade. I enjoy getting to know our students and helping them to reach their graduation goals. As an intervention specialist, I have worked with students in all grades K-12. I graduated with my bachelors degree in early childhood education at Kent State University and have completed masters level coursework in special education at the University of phoenix. I enjoy spending time with my husband, 4 kids, and 3 dogs. I also enjoy reading and spending time in the sunshine boating and swimming.
Mrs. Shelly Benson
Hybrid Intervention SpecialistThe 2022-2023 school year starts my 29th year of teaching. I’m in my 2nd year at Cascade Career Prep. I work 3 days a week at Cascade helping students with whatever academic needs they may have. I also assist in writing IEPs for students at Black River as well as conducting the hearing & vision screenings for all Fusion Ed schools. I enjoy hiking at the trails of the area metro parks, doing sewing crafts and spending time with my family. I’ve been married for 28 years to my husband Chris and I have 3 daughters. My oldest daughter and son in law are expecting my 1st grandchild in December.
Mr. Casey Quinn
Student Success Coach
I currently reside in North Canton, Ohio with my lovely wife, Ashley, my dog Daisy, and my cat, Pumpkin Kit. In addition to my school duties, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor at an area private practice. When I am not working, I enjoy working outside, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling. I am an avid golfer and play competitive paintball.

My name is randy cone jr. This is my first year at cascade career prep high school. I was born on April 27, 1981 in Canton, ohio. I am married with three children. I enjoy traveling to different places. My favorite place that I have traveled is belize.

This is my 6th school year with cascade career prep high school. I live in north canton with my two dogs, Cynder & Ruby. I love to travel, play cards, and take walks with my dogs in the sunshine.
